Toowoomba flourishes with mild winter weather
With hardly a sign of winter until the end of June, Toowoomba residents have been spoiled by a dry beautiful autumn. July has come bringing with it everything that we know of a Toowoomba winter; strong/ gusty winds, moody grey skies and a chilling cold. Don't despair Spring is just around the corner when Toowoomba flourishes, birds sing, flowers bloom and we can once again appreciate the beauty of our iconic garden city.
The "Outdoor Adventure and Motoring Expo" on the 5 - 7th August will feature a hunting expo by the Australian Deer Association not to be missed.
The new event on our calendar is the "Queensland Beef Expo" to be held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds with it's moto "Excellence in Beef", so get on out there and let's show the rest of Australia what Queensland is made of - real Beef!
Once again on the 2nd of Sept, the Jondaryn Woolshed will celebrate the "Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears". The festival will run over three days, starting with the bow tie event on Friday the 1st of Sept, when Colleen Cuneo will showcase the best of Australian designers with a fashion show.
More on "Carnival of Flowers" is to come but keep the dates 16th to 25th September marked for loads of fun for all. Don't forget to book your accommodation early for Carnival of Flowers as the Garden City is often booked out during this period!
